Note

The glove was inked by passing it through the etching press on an inked surface.  It was then laid ink side down on the print and passed through the etching press again.  The hand was inked by pressing it onto a red inked surface.  The inked hand then grasped a clean roller, leaving its inked impression, which was then rolled off, onto the print. This created the unusual curved appearance of a hand print.

The Creation of Unpaid Labour mimics the painting by Michaelangelo  of the Creation of Adam on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel of the Papal Palace  in Rome.
