Notes
The apron photographic image was heat transferred to the 100% rag paper. The hand images were relief printed through the etching press, from cut out card stencils.

This is a decorative, chrocheted, hostess apron. It is of no practical use since it consists of openings between threads. It glamourizes the unseen, exhausting labour of preparing for a party. The hand gestures indicate the feelings of the hostess who has other interests for which there is little time.
