The photo image of the apron and background were heat transferred to the print paper. The hands were printed from inked card stencils. The blue shadow was printed from a card that was inked with a gradation in blue.

The message of this print is that a beautiful apron does not make unpaid labour any more pleasant, in spite of any myth suggesting that it does.
