Notes
This drawing also was inspired by the Christa imagery discussed in the lecture given by the feminist theologian, Rosemary Radford Reuther at Havard University. The drawing refers to the ancient cruel practice of crucifixion. The apron shapes are based on photographs of aprons on a clothesline, which Mary took before leaving Kingston. There is a similar drawing in the collection at the Agnes Etherington Art Centre at Queen’s University in Kingston, ON.
