Notes
The leaf area of this print is an intaglio printed aquatint. It is surrounded on three sides by an embossed window frame. It is divided by an uninked pull cord which was laid over the inked plate for each printing. The cord pull ring was inked and relief printed. The window shade was relief printed.

Although this window is not part of a domestic process, it is an essential part of a domestic interior.  It controls the amount of daylight and fresh air entering a dark interior work place. Windows are essential for a healthy work environment and a healthy state of mind, for an isolated housewife/mother.
