Notes
This striped apron was printed from its impression in grey ink on the arborite surface. The ties were arranged in a bow above the skirt area. The hands were printed from folded and inked paper shapes. The dark background was added later from inked card around a block out stencil.
The colour gradations were added from small inked cards that were printed through stencils.

The arrangement of this apron is intended to communicate the struggle involved in finding time for art or other interests, in an exploitive situation where the government places no economic value on housework and child care and training in the home.
