Notes
The cloth image was created in soft ground acid resist on a zinc plate, which was relief printed with a roller. The scissors were offset printed from a clear plastic sheet.

The print Cutting Cloth provided the base concept and method for subsequent imagery, including Ironing, Wringing Shirt, Sewing and the Exploited Apron monoprints. The exact impression of fabric communicates the reality of the image and its message.
