Notes
The Cake rack was traced around a real cake rack which was used as a template. The photo image was heat transferred to the white rag paper. The black area was relief printed through the etching press.

Even though the rods in the cake rack are horizontal, they communicate the idea of prison bars or confinement. The cake rack also refers to the labour of baking. This is one more aspect of house work that requires the unpaid time of many women who have other interests.
