Notes
This image is printed from a contact impression of the apron in blue ink, on an arborite surface. The red apron colour was relief printed over the pale blue ink, from inked card, through a stencil which covered the hem and waistband of the apron image. The dark background was added later from inked card with a blocking stencil over the whole image.
The apron ties are rolled into clenched fists which were overprinted from inked card through a stencil. The corner of the skirt, folds forward with irritation.

This print was created while thinking about circumstances, both personal and political that make women so angry. Two incidents which contributed to the gesture of this apron are presented in the video, The View from my Room is Great *
A variation of this print was purchased by Griselda Pollock, a foremost feminist author and lecturer at Leeds University in the United Kingdom.
