Notes
The Purple Heart Apron was printed from its impression in a layer of purple ink on an arborite surface. The dark background was printed later from inked card, around a blocking stencil over the apron. The red tie end was printed from card through a stencil.

This is a statement about the love that permeates the labour required to raise children at home. This love would not be diminished by receiving a fair wage for the household and family labour, as is sometimes falsely argued.
